🚧 Gov. Shapiro Unveils I-95 Rebuild Plan
During a news conference this week, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro unveiled the plan to rebuild the collapsed section of I-95. Local contractor Buckley & Company will fill the gap with backfill, which is a recycled glass-type product, and then pave over it to create a temporary roadway. This will allow for three lanes to be open in each direction while the state works on rebuilding a permanent bridge. As of now, there is no estimated timeline for completion. [6ABC]

🏊🏽♂️ All Public Pools Opening for Summer
Philly is opening all 61 of its public pools this summer, but the opening dates will be staggered. Last year, only 47 pools opened due to staffing issues. This year, the city pushed to hire 400 lifeguards ahead of the season, offering $1,000 for people who applied. So far, over 340 lifeguards are trained and ready to go, and another 20 or 30 are finishing up with certification courses. You can find the opening schedule online. [WHYY]
