🚻 ‘Phlush’ Arrives in Center City
More than 8,000 residents voted in a “potty poll,” and Philadelphians have spoken: the new public restroom at 15th and Arch is officially named Phlush. It’s now open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m on weekdays, and 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends. The standalone restroom is part of a five-year pilot program to install six “Phlushes” in parks across the city. 🏦 First Bank to Become Economic History Museum
Old City's First Bank of the United States has been closed to the public for more than 40 years, but is now slated to reopen as an economic history museum. The bank recently received a federal grant of $22 million for restorations, including updating electrical systems and adding accessible bathrooms. It’s expected to open in 2026. [NBC10]
💰 Support for Businesses Impacted by I-95 Collapse
Small businesses impacted by the I-95 collapse can now apply for a federal loan from the U.S Small Business Administration (SBA). Until July 21, small business owners can meet with a specialist in-person at SBA's Business Recovery Center on 4933 Magee Avenue in Northeast Philly. [CBS Philly]
