💰 UPS Paid $9 Million in Philly Parking Fines

The United Parcel Service (UPS) paid $9 million in Center City parking violation fines over the last five years, according to an Action News investigation of Philly's top parking offenders. From 2018 through March 2023, UPS racked up more than 131,000 tickets, the majority of them for traffic jam-related violations. A UPS spokesperson told reporters that making deliveries in cities is challenging due to limited commercial vehicle parking. [6ABC]

🫁 PA Under Another Air Quality Alert

Pennsylvania is under another code orange air quality alert. It’s expected to last through at least Tuesday night. Twenty-two other states, including New Jersey, New York, and Georgia, are experiencing air quality advisories as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to drift across the East Coast. 🐪 Camel Sighting in Northern Liberties

Sometimes a normal Monday morning in Philly involves spotting a camel on the street, snacking on baguettes. Social media users captured the odd sighting on 2nd and Fairmount Avenue around 11:30 a.m. It was later found out that the camel, who’s name is Pearl, was there for a children’s boutique photoshoot.
