🔥 Is your neighborhood Philly’s hottest?

July 28, 2023

Welcome to my favorite day. It’s Friday! And it’s really hot out there. Imagine wearing a bunch of coats in this weather. That’s what it’s like for some of the furry cuties at the Philadelphia Zoo. Luckily some of them are chewing on ice cakes to cool down. Check out these photos. 🧊

With heat indexes reaching 105 to 115 degrees today and tomorrow, an excessive heating warning has been designated for this weekend in multiple regions of the U.S.

New Details in 76ers’ Proposed Arena

David Adelman, the chairman of the arena's development company, claims the proposed arena in Center City could generate $1 billion in tax revenues over the 30-year lease term. This arena plan has been a source of contention, especially among Chinatown residents and business owners. During a recent press conference, activists demanded Councilmember Mark Squilla make good on his promise not to move the Sixers arena without community support. The development company hopes to get zoning approval this fall. [6ABC; Inquirer]
