📹 New Shooting Details Emerge

Shaka Johnson, attorney for Eddie Irizarry's family, shared surveillance footage revealing new information about his death during a stop by police in North Philly last week. Initially, police said Irizarry fled a traffic stop and 'lunged' at officers with a knife. But the surveillance video showed Officer Mark Dial firing multiple shots at Irizarry, who was seated in his car, within five seconds of Dial exiting his vehicle. Johnson told reporters that this was an ‘intentional misleading of the public.’ Police commissioner Danielle Outlaw has acknowledged the community’s concerns, and vowed to conduct an internal investigation.
