⏲️ Big Swing Delayed
This past weekend, FDR Park was supposed to unveil a massive swing set at the Anna C. Vernon Playground, but plans have changed. Some equipment has not yet arrived from overseas, delaying construction. Residents will have to wait a few more weeks to try out a swing as large as the infield at Citizens Bank Park. 💰 South Philly Restaurants Need Help
Three popular Latino-owned restaurants in South Philly are at risk of shutting down after a series of break-ins and equipment thefts, including the businesses’ refrigerated delivery vehicles. Without the trucks, owners of Alma del Mar, Marco’s Fish Market & Crab House, and Los Taquitos de Puebla are unable to buy certain ingredients. The restaurateur trio launched a GoFundMe to stay afloat. [Inquirer🔒]
📍 Central Jersey Is ... Real!
It’s official: Central Jersey exists, according to a new law signed by NJ Gov. Phil Murphy. Sponsor of the legislation, state Senator Andrew Zwicker, recently defined the boundaries of Central Jersey and argued why it deserves recognition. [Inquirer/City Cast Philly]

I asked you, our Hey Philly readers, what you thought about the results. Across the state, newsletter editor Francesca Dabecco asked Hey Pittsburgh readers the same questions. Here's what you had to say:

Some might eat early “to free up time in the evening.” - Lee K.
“Not sure, maybe old habits from going to work early.” - Scott C.

“It is a 9-5 state.” - Ruth D.
Yinzers, On the Other Hand, Eat Earlier:

“We actually eat closer to 9…but the restaurants here close WAY too early.” - Amy
“Working class traditions. Get home, and you’re hungry! I think a lot of people skip lunch too." - Laura
“As Ben Franklin said, early to bed early to rise. Earlier bedtimes mean earlier dinner times.” - Lori
