What's CITY Talking About?

🍴 Philly Eateries Coming in Fall

Great news, foodies. From Fishtown to the Philly suburbs and New Jersey, 60 eateries will open in the Philly region this fall. Keep your eyes peeled for openings like Get A Gato, a cat cafe on Christian Street, Dim Sum Mania on the Main Line, and Seaforest Bake Shop at 16th and Bainbridge Streets. [Inquirer 🔒]

🚎 Upgrades Trolleys Delayed

SEPTA was scheduled to unveil six refurbished vintage trolleys this weekend, but their debut has now been postponed until later this fall. A spokesperson for the transit agency told PhillyVoice that the delay is mostly to allow more time to train trolley operators. The trolleys will have revamped frames, sheet metal, windows, air conditioning systems, and fresh paint. The new release date is not yet known. [PhillyVoice]

🚨 Chester County Escapee Still at Large

Danelo Cavalcante, who escaped from the Chester County prison more than a week ago, is still on the loose despite a massive search effort. Newly released surveillance video shows Cavalcante climbing up the prison’s exercise yard walls to escape. Police have expanded their search perimeter to Pennsbury Township, following several credible sightings of the escapee. Any information that leads to his capture now comes with a $20,000 reward.
