Sigh. There was no joy in Mudville last night. The Phillies’ World Series hopes were dashed in a Game 7 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. There’s always next year.

How More Trees Could Make Philly Healthier

Philly recently won $12 million from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to plant more trees. This money will go into the city's new tree plan, a 10-year roadmap for making the city greener, cooler, and healthier. Host Trenae Nuri speaks with Kristine Gonnella, managing director of strategy development at the Public Health Management Corporation, about why Philly made this plan and how more trees are associated with a range of benefits, from lowering rates of asthma to reducing gun violence.
Sadly, it’s time to make like a tree and... well, you know. See you tomorrow.
