🏛️ David Oh makes his pitch to be mayor
November 1, 2023
Greetings! A doctor relative of mine started following his local pro sports teams just to be able to make small talk with his patients. If you, too, find yourself at a loss when the conversation turns to football, our recent podcast might help bring you up to speed on one Eagles catchphrase that’s likely to pop up at the watercooler.

What's CITY Talking About?
Kruger Murder Suspect Charged in Earlier Shooting
The suspect accused of murdering freelance journalist and LGBTQ+ advocate Josh Kruger in early October has been hit with new charges relating to a shooting at a SEPTA station that occurred a week earlier. Police said in a court filing that surveillance video captures the suspect, 19-year-old Robert Davis, shooting at and missing a man he had approached in the Broad Street Line’s Tasker-Morris Station. Sixers Trade Harden to the LA Clippers
James Harden, the 76ers guard who sparked controversy earlier this year when he talked publicly about his desire to be traded and criticized Sixers leadership, has finally had his wish granted. In exchange for sending him and two other players to Los Angeles, the Sixers will receive four Clippers and several future draft picks. [6ABC]
Lawmakers Push Reforms to Juvenile Justice System
The Pennsylvania General Assembly is considering a bill that would make reforms to the state’s troubled juvenile justice system. They include eliminating court fees and fines, prohibiting the use of solitary confinement, and prioritizing programs that divert youth offenders from detention centers. [WHYY]
