Hi there! I’m Asha Prihar, the new newsletter editor for Hey Philly. A little about me: I love long walks, indie bookstores, free museum days, and little treats. And I’m super excited to be in your inbox every weekday, sharing all the latest and best from our wonderful city! On to today’s news.

The 13 Best Brunches in Philly

Two plates of food, one with chicken and waffles, and the other with eggs, toast, and home fries.
Anyone else jealous of Trenae’s brunch spread at Sabrina’s in Wynnewood? (Trenae Nuri / City Cast)

Brunch has it all! It’s breakfast and lunch combined — and there’s usually a mimosa or bloody mary involved. To help pick from the many brunch spots in the city, City Cast Philly podcast host Trenae Nuri chats with City Cast Philly food contributor Dave Wez about restaurants that offer anything from mimosa towers to build-your-own-donut stations.

After all the statue ~discourse~ this week, I’ll leave you with City & State’s suggestions of famous Philly folks who could be honored in sculpture. Personally, I’d love to see more tributes to Philly’s music legends.
