The Beef Over Dueling ‘Jim’s’ Cheesesteak Spots
Jim’s Steaks in West Philly was a legendary cheesesteak spot that first opened back in 1939. It closed in 2019, but last year a local entrepreneur reopened it under a new name: Jim’s West. Now the son of the former owner — who runs his own Jim's Steaks in Delco — has sued the new owner, saying the shop can’t operate with the name “Jim’s” at all.
Confused? Don't worry. City Cast Philly podcast host Trenae Nuri breaks down this cheesesteak feud with Victor Fiorillo, senior reporter at Philadelphia Magazine.

That’s all for today — hope your week gets off to a good start!
