🗳️ Federal Court Hears Mail Ballot Case
A three-judge panel is set to decide whether or not Pennsylvania has to count mail ballots with incorrect or missing dates written on the return envelope. The judges heard oral arguments earlier this week, but there’s no timetable set for their decision. [WITF]
💡 PECO Site Still Down for Maintenance
Trying to pay your electric bill? You may have noticed that PECO’s non-emergency customer service line and online billpay system have been unavailable for over a week while the company transitions to a new billing system.
- Some good news: there won’t be any late fees or service shut-offs while this is happening. Not-so-great news: The company removed ETAs for service restoration from its website. [Inquirer 🔒]

🏥 Advocates Want Health Centers Built Sooner
Northeast Philly community leaders are pushing for ways to expedite the building of two new city-run health centers in Frankford and Lawncrest, given long wait times for appointments at the one nearby existing health hub. [WHYY]

🎰 City Council Eyes Skill Game Regulation
City Councilmember Curtis Jones introduced a bill that would ban any “casino-style or skill game” machines not already regulated by the state from Philly businesses, like corner stores and gas stations. The bill has nine co-sponsors, so it’s likely to pass. [PhillyVoice]
