🚧 I-95 North Detoured for Bridge Repairs

PennDOT has closed a section of I-95 near Port Richmond for emergency bridge repairs, after a truck hit an overhead Conrail bridge yesterday afternoon. More info on the detour here. [6ABC]

  • Also, rail service on NJ Transit’s Atlantic City Line between 30th Street and Cherry Hill has been substituted with buses as a result of the incident. You can check the status of rail service here.

🍎 Board of Education Nominees Announced

Mayor Cherelle Parker shared her picks for the nine people who will sit on Philly’s school board, including four current board members. The nominees are subject to City Council approval. [Chalkbeat Philadelphia]

Police Investigating Antisemitic Vandalism

Over the weekend, congregants at Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El synagogue in Wynnewood found that somebody had painted a swastika over a banner expressing support for Israel. Both state and local police are investigating. [KYW]

🪧 Pro-Palestinian Protesters Arrested on I-676

ICYMI: As part of a larger national day of action, demonstrators took to the Vine Street Expressway on Saturday afternoon to call on the president to cut off military aid to Israel. State police arrested 67 people for “disorderly conduct.” [Inquirer 🔒]
