Philly’s economy is improving, the poverty rate has dropped to its lowest point since the 90s, and homicides decreased last year, according to a new Pew Charitable Trusts report. But overdose deaths remain high, property crime is on the rise, and economic growth hasn’t been equitable. [WHYY]

🏚️ Family Displaced After Rowhome Collapse

A family in Spring Garden experienced a partial home collapse Wednesday morning. The Philadelphia Department of Licenses and Inspections declared their house immediately dangerous and did an emergency demolition on Thursday. L&I hasn’t specified the cause of the collapse. [6ABC]
