Itâs ânew normalâ for today, but 20 years from now, we're going to look back on 2024 as, âWow, it was kind of comfortable that year.â
Why Canât We Seem To Catch a Break From This Heat?
The weather this summer has often felt unbearable. Are heat waves like this going to be the new normal in Philly? Glenn Schwartz explains why itâs so hot, the urban heat island effect, and what Philadelphians can do right now to mitigate climate change.

Also, about that heat: If youâre looking for ways to stay cool in Philly, weâve got a few tips for humans, plus some for dogs.
