🗳️ PA stays in the election spotlight
August 20, 2024 · — Asha Prihar
Wanna hear something cool? 24 people got a perfect score on last week’s news quiz!
Sadly, that means I don’t have enough space to commend all of you, but special shout out to our first few perfect scorers: Kate R., Emily A., Lawrence T., Jennifer W., and Chris K. You five submitted your quizzes before I even woke up Friday morning! 🥱
What's CITY Talking About?
💰 City Must Pay $25 Million Over Jail Conditions
A judge ordered the city last week to pay the large sum into a dedicated fund, take immediate action to increase staffing levels in jails, and explore moving prisoners to facilities outside the jail complex in Northeast Philly. This is all because the city was found in contempt of a 2022 legal settlement over inhumane incarceration conditions. [Inquirer 🔒]

🚲 Calls for Bike Lane Safety Continue
