What's CITY Talking About?

⚖️ Mother of Slain Student Sues School District
Meredith Elizalde filed a civil rights suit earlier this week that claims the district failed to take sufficient safety precautions that could’ve protected her child, 14-year-old Nicolas Elizalde, from being shot and killed outside Roxborough High School in 2022. [KYW]
🌊 Freshwater Mussels Found in the Delaware
A new survey from a group of environmental organizations located some of these filter feeders in the river near Pennypack Creek — an indicator that the Delaware River’s water quality is headed in a positive direction. [PHL17]
