Good morning, Philly! Are the Kelces our royal family, or is it enough already? And wait up: Who had the Phanatic’s baby?! City Cast Philly podcast host Trenae Nuri sat down with the city’s legendary master of quizzo, Johnny Goodtimes, to chat about the latest in Philly pop culture. Give it a listen here 🎧

What's CITY Talking About?
🗳️ Philly Campaign Countdown
- In addition to Elon Musk’s offer of $47 for every referral that leads to a new registered voter, the MAGA billionaire says he is giving away $1 million daily to Pennsylvanians who sign his political petition. And that has resulted in expected (hoped for?) criticism, including from Gov. Josh Shapiro. [NPR]
- Kamala Harris returned to the burbs yesterday for a campaign stop in Malvern. She is set to visit tomorrow for a CNN Town Hall event in Delaware County. Donald Trump, fresh off flipping fries at McDonald’s and talking about a deceased golfer’s penis at a Pennsylvania campaign rally over the weekend, was invited to participate but opted not to attend. [🔒 The Inquirer]
- Democratic Sen. Bob Casey has lost his lead over Republican hedge fund manager Dave McCormick in the Pennsylvania senate race. It is now a “toss-up.” [🔒 Cook Political Report]
🎦 Can Philly Handle This Art Piece?
The Portal will be open Tuesday in Love Park, connecting Philly to Dublin, Ireland; Vilnius, Lithuania; and Lublin, Poland. The project was made famous when the portal between New York and Dublin closed due to bad behavior from both cities. Now, the question is … will Philly keep its cool? The three cities should expect to see some “GO BIRDS!” signs and who knows what else. [The Inquirer]

🎒 Homeless Youth Services Could Go Away
This Thursday, the Philadelphia Board of Education will decide whether to extend pandemic funding for homeless youth and their families. The proposed $2.36 million would provide housing assistance, counseling, and transportation. [School District of Philadelphia, Metro Philadelphia]
