🗳️ Philly Campaign Countdown

  • After a comedian trashed Puerto Ricans at Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden, many Puerto Ricans from Philly spoke out about the “jokes.” Community organizer for Philly Boricuas, Charito Morales, said that the comments were racist – but not a surprise. [WHYY]
  • A statue of Donald Trump was mysteriously (and briefly) placed near the Ben Franklin Parkway directly behind the Maja statue, which depicts a nude woman. The plaque on the Trump statue read: “In honor of a lifetime of sexual assault,” and his right hand was positioned in a crude gesture towards the Maja. The statue of Trump was quickly removed from the park by city workers. [🔒Inquirer]
  • Larry Krasner, Philly district attorney who's suing Elon Musk over his million-dollar voter giveaway, said that there have been various inflammatory posts about him since he filed suit. People have posted antisemitic attacks and also shared his address. Krasner has asked for additional security at the next court hearing this morning. [🔒Inquirer]

🚓 Five Arrested for Drug Trafficking

After a year-long investigation, five men have been arrested for allegedly trafficking large amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, and other narcotics in Philadelphia and Chester County. 🚨 Slow Down, Philly!
