🗳️ Philly Campaign Countdown

  • The Harris campaign hosted a rally/concert on the Rocky Steps last night. Vice President Kamala Harris shared the stage with Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey, The Roots, and more. [CBS]
  • A judge rejected District Attorney Larry Krasner’s effort to end Elon Musk’s $1 million voter giveaway. Musk was not present for the hearing. [6ABC]
  • Pennsylvania election officials are expecting the highest in-person voting since the 2016 election. So, plan accordingly Philly! [🔒Inquirer]

😡 City of Brotherly Shoves

  • Sixer Joel Embiid is said to have struck and shoved Inquirer reporter Marcus Hayes during an altercation following a loss over the weekend. Embiid was angry that Hayes wrote about Embiid’s late brother in a column critical of the star center’s poor conditioning. [🔒Inquirer]
  • Jason Kelce smashed some dude’s phone outside the Penn State game after the guy called his brother, Travis Kelce, a homophobic slur for dating Taylor Swift. Jason Kelce has since commented on the incident. [NBCNews]

❗ New Statue Coming to Philly

A new statue honoring Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander, the first Black woman to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, is coming to Philly in 2026. The statue is set to go in the Thomas Paine Plaza outside of the Municipal Services Building. A public Zoom meeting will be held on Thursday about the project. [🔒Inquirer]
