🚂 SEPTA Fares Officially Increased

SEPTA’s 7.5% fare increase is now in effect. Travel Wallet, SEPTA Key Tix, and contactless payments on buses, subways, and trolleys have all gone up from $2 to $2.50. Those over 65 or under 12 will continue to ride for free. [SEPTA]

👮 Philly Police Spent How Much On Presidential Candidates Visits?!

Philadelphia Police spent more than $4 million on overtime during the various presidential candidate visits in 2024. Over the 22 days that candidates were in the city, the police department paid an average of $191,423 each day in O.T. The largest expense was for Vice President Kamala Harris’ Ben Franklin Parkway rally on the eve of Election Day. [🔒The Inquirer]

  • King of Prussia Mall, one of the biggest in the country, is unveiling a new experiential space called CAMP with immersive shows and craft workshops. The mall is also getting a Netflix House, enabling you to hang out in some of your favorite shows and movies. [WHYY]
  • Philadelphians want stores like Zara and Nordstrom to open in Center City. A new survey from the Center City District indicated they’d also like to see more experiential spaces, such as a Lego Store or movie theaters. [🔒The Inquirer]
