🏟️ 11th hour for 76ers arena proposal

Delay of Game … A critical City Council vote on the proposed 76ers arena was delayed twice yesterday and is now scheduled for 8:30 a.m. The Council appears to support the project but it's negotiating over how much the team will pay in a Community Benefits Agreement. John Chin of the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation, an opponent of the project, is optimistic about the delay: “It’s not over.” We spoke with Chin on today’s podcast for some historical context behind pushing projects into the areas around Chinatown.
