🚋 SEPTA Privatizing Train Stations

SEPTA plans to lease five train stations to real estate developer Ken Weinstein, who wants to develop them for additional uses. Toronto and Portland are getting teams in 2026, and our City of Brotherly Love (and Sisterly Affection) could be considered in 2027 or 2028. A new downtown basketball arena and a supportive mayor are seen as beneficial factors. Thoughts on the proposed team name (The Philadelphia Sisters) and motto (“trust the progress”)? 📽️ The Newest Movie With Philly Roots

The Brutalist, a new historical drama set in Philadelphia and Bucks County, explores the American dream through the journey of a Jewish Hungarian architect who, after surviving the Holocaust, immigrates to Philly. Due to how much Philadelphia has changed since the 1940s, the movie was filmed in Hungary because it more closely emulated historic Philadelphia. The movie is in theaters Dec. 20. [🔒 The Inquirer]
