🗳️ Krasner secures win in Democratic primary

May 21, 2025 · — Siani Colón

The results are in, folks. District Attorney Larry Krasner defeated Pat Dugan in the Democratic race for district attorney in yesterday’s election. Dugan spent more money on the campaign than Krasner, but the two-term incumbent leaned on both his record as a progressive prosecutor and the city's lowest murder rate in a half-century. With no one running on the Republican ticket, this paves the way for Krasner to secure a third term as D.A. in the November general election. Tune into today’s episode of City Cast Philly as Trenae and Matt break down the results of the different races.

Our most recent Wednesdays have been busy prepping you for the primary. Now that it’s behind us, it’s time to bring back, “Where Is It?”

While the City Cast Philly team was out for lunch, we sat at the same table where former President Barack Obama and former U.S. Sen. Bob Casey Jr. shared a meal in 2010. Do you recognize the restaurant? Give us your best guess (and share your favorite order while you’re at it).
