💰 Fight in the legislature costs Philly schools $30 million
September 15, 2025 · — Siani Colón
Good morning, Philly! It’s a little bit warmer than normal for mid-September, but you may want to invest in a nice jacket for when it cools down this fall. Mitchell & Ness brought back its recreation of the iconic Eagles jacket Princess Diana owned.
And if the $400 price is giving you sticker shock, maybe ask Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie to pay for it since he’s one of the richest Pennsylvanians on the Forbes 400 list 💸

Meanwhile, Philly-area Catholic schools are missing required textbooks and materials due to the impasse. [ 🔒 The Inquirer]

🏀 Proposed Sixers Arena Not Priority for City Council
The Sixers better get comfortable at the newly renamed Xfinity Mobile Arena because it’ll be a while before they get approvals for their future home. While the Sixers, Flyers, and Comcast Spectacor hope to open a new arena by 2031, Council President Kenyatta Johnson said there’s no information on when legislation to allow for construction will move forward.
