📣 Shapiro Gives Warning Amid Political Violence Nationwide

In the wake of the killing of conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk, Gov. Shapiro delivered a keynote address at the Eradicate Hate Global Summit in Pittsburgh. 📉 Philly’s Income Stalls While Inflation Remains High

Philly may no longer have the highest poverty rate in the country, but it does have the lowest median income among the nation’s 10 largest cities. The city’s median household income lowered to $60,500 last year just as the purchasing power of Philadelphians decreases amid inflation. [🔒 The Inquirer]

Apparently texts about fake job opportunities aren’t the only scam we have to worry about. City officials are warning residents about fraudulent messages from the “Philadelphia Department of Revenue” requesting financial information. [Metro Philly]

🖼️ Odunde Launches Inaugural Art Show

If you missed out on Odunde this year, there’s another opportunity to celebrate African American Culture. The organizers behind the annual street festival in Graduate Hospital are debuting the inaugural Odunde Art Sho, showcasing art and artists across genres. Proceeds will fund Odunde’s year-round programming. [KYW]
