⚖️ Shapiro Doubles Down on National Guard Deployment Criticism
Gov. Josh Shapiro signed onto a multi-state lawsuit over the Trump administration’s use of the National Guard in U.S. cities. Shapiro said the decision to deploy troops “over the wishes of their governors is incredibly dangerous and an unprecedented infringement on states’ rights.” [Penn Capital-Star]

Chef’s Home Vandalized in Possible Case of Mistaken Identity
The home of Yun Fuentes of Bolo, a popular Puerto Rican restaurant in Rittenhouse, was vandalized with red paint on Wednesday in what is believed to have been a case of mistaken identity. Fuentes’ wife, an art teacher, shares a name with an employee of Day & Zimmermann, a security and defense company headquartered in Philadelphia that’s been the subject of protests for manufacturing weapons sent to Israel during its conflict with Hamas. Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in finding 23-year-old Kada Scott. She was last seen leaving her job in Chestnut Hill on Saturday. Prior to her disappearance, she reported that she was being harassed. [6ABC]
