Feltonville Package Theft Sparks Shootout

A man who tried to steal a package from a stoop in Feltonville was confronted by a gun-carrying homeowner who fired a shot into the ground before being fired at by the suspect, police said. Officers who responded to the scene also exchanged gunfire with the suspect. [🔒 The Inquirer]

District Attorney Larry Krasner, joined by several city councilmembers and Sheriff Rochelle Bilal, denounced Wednesday’s fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in Minneapolis and threatened to charge lCE operatives if they commit crimes in Philly. Bilal referred to the ICE agents as “made-up, fake, wannabe law enforcement” who “don’t want this smoke.” Hundreds of protestors gathered outside City Hall for a vigil last night.
