Protesters Block ICE’s Garage
About 30 demonstrators with No ICE Philly attempted to prevent immigration enforcement agents from leaving their office at 8th and Cherry streets yesterday morning. One vehicle left the building after Philadelphia Police cleared the protestors away from the garage. This protest followed a march outside the ICE office on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which drew hundreds of participants. [NBC10]

Local Trades Unions To Invest $50 Million in Affordable Housing
Construction unions will loan the Philadelphia Housing Authority money to redevelop a Wynnefield housing complex into affordable housing for seniors. Tenants were forced to relocate after its former owners ignored complaints about deteriorated units, pest infestations, and other code violations. [🔒 The Inquirer]

Scion of Pat’s King of Steaks Dies at 87

Museum of Sports Eyes Market East Location

Shapiro Was Asked by Harris’ Team if He Was Secret Israeli Agent
Gov. Josh Shapiro officially announced his run for reelection, but he’s also looking back at when he had a shot at the vice presidency. In a new memoir, the governor, who is Jewish, described former Vice President Kamala Harris’ account of their first meeting as “blatant lies” and called out questions in the vetting process, including one about whether he was a double agent for Israel.
