Parker Promises Increased Tax on Uber, Lyft
Mayor Parker wants to tax rideshares $1 per ride, after initially proposing a 20-cent-per-ride fee in her budget pitch earlier this month. The hike, which would go into effect Jan. 1, would help fund the School District of Philadelphia, which is currently facing a $300 million deficit. [🔒 The Inquirer]

ICE Deployed at PHL
President Trump deployed agents to 13 airports on Monday, including Philadelphia International Airport, to address TSA staffing shortages at security checkpoints during the partial government shutdown. On Saturday, 21.5% of TSA workers scheduled to work at PHL called out. [NBC10]
