🏒 Flyers and Sixers both swept from postseason
May 11, 2026 · — Siani Colón
Well…all good things must come to an end. Both the Flyers and Sixers were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs over the weekend. The Flyers put up a good fight against the Carolina Hurricanes, but it wasn’t enough to win in overtime. The fans recognized the team’s effort, sending them off with a standing ovation and “Let’s Go Flyers!” chants. The same can’t be said for the Sixers. You’d think they were playing at Madison Square Garden with the overwhelming number of New York Knicks fans there. They brought brooms!
Better luck next time. Maybe what both teams needed was Elmo to motivate them. Looks like it worked for the Phillies.
