July 17, 2026 · — Siani Colón
Good morning, Philly! Are you still having trouble getting around after last weekend’s microbursts? Uber is offering free rides now through July 29 for those hit the hardest.

Some flights headed to Philly yesterday were delayed, and some outdoor events were canceled. Here are the city’s tips for keeping the air clean. Don’t have an air purifier? Here’s how to make your own.

Through a collaboration between scientists, activists, and city leaders, Baltimore has made significant strides in cleaning its harbor. So much so that it meets Maryland’s standards for swimming on most dry days. The Schuylkill and Delaware Rivers have a reputation for being unsafe, but could Baltimore’s efforts teach us how to successfully clean our waterways? [Philadelphia Citizen]
Nighttime Traffic To Close on I-76
If you commute during late-night hours, heads up that a section of the Schuylkill Expressway’s westbound side will be closed with detours for four nights next week.
